Talent guy Matt Moseley has been featured in Sai music video “We Are Your Children” I caught up with him to find out more and future plans for the rising star…
Scott: When was the moment you first realised you wanted to be a singer / performer?
Matt: I kind of just grew up around it all. I’ve been dancing since I could walk, and watched my sister grow up in the music industry, so it just made sense. Performing is one of the most thrilling experiences ever, the rush you get from being on stage is unlike any.
SM: Tell us 3 facts about yourself that we don’t know?
MM: I love playing video games, I am a huge fan of boxing/kick boxing, and acting is probably one of my favourite things to do! I love stepping into a character or someone else’s shoes to be someone different.
SM: Tell me how was your experience with Sia on “We Are Your Children” video?
MM: She was so very cool the whole time. You would think, as an outsider, that she’s not involved, and the label/management handles everything, but she was really involved in the whole thing, top to bottom. She helped us pick out clothes that fit each of our personalities & was comfortable for us. She was singing live when we were filming certain scenes, she just wanted to be involved, and that’s really cool to see coming from an established artist that way.
SM: Tell us your highlight of your career so far?
MM: Probably all the Lythgoe Family productions I’ve done. I’ve had the opportunity to perform along side huge celebrities like Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Jordan Fisher, Olivia Holt, Ashlee Argota, the list goes on & on, and I got to perform next to these true performers, night after night for 3 months at a time, each year. Such a crazy experience. Runner up would be all the studio time I’ve been putting in. I love creating music.
SM: Whats next for you? Anything you really like to do?
MM: Right now, I’m working on what my original music will sound like. Each artist has a period of time where they’re figuring out, not only what they like to create, but what makes sense, what’s marketable, so right now, we’re working on what that is for me. I’m also a big fan of dancing, you can catch me at one of the studios any night of the week, usually from 2-5 hours.
SM: Being in the public eye we get so many rumours, anything you heard which is not true you like to clear up?
MM: Nothing crazy yet. Unfortunately, when people have more time than anything else, they’re likely to spread rumours, or start with someone, and when they see someone they’re threatened by or jealous of, they’re quick to try to attack/affect that person.. luckily, nothing really bothers me HAHA. I do what I do, because I love it.
SM: Will you be visiting the UK anytime soon?
MM: I’m hoping so! There are so many places I want to travel to. Keep supporting & I’ll be over there even sooner!
