Nathan Thursfield Interview with Scott McGlynn

Katie Price number 1 fan Nathan took to our screens with ITV This Morning, and many more shows to come 2016, with a singing career coming up hes one to watch, see my Q&A to get all the details…

Scott – We all know your a huge fan of Katie Price what is that made you fall in love with her?
Nathan – I’ve always been a fan of Katie’s, since i was 12-13. She has done so well for herself.

Scott – Have you met or talked to her at all?
Nathan – Yeah I’ve met Katie, we talk on Twitter.

Scott –  We saw you on “This Morning” how was that experience for you?
Nathan – This Morning was a fantastic experience! I’m hoping to go back on the show at some point this year! Never say never! Its a huge show and gave me so many opportunities.I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing without it. So I thank the producers & the everyone who works on the show.

Scott –  You told us you’ve had surgery, What was the most painful and less painful you had done?

Nathan – The most painful would have to be a tie between a vampire facial & my nose job! I’ve had two.

The least would Botox, it’s painless but has fantastic results. I go to a clinic called Mac Aesthetics. She treats many celebrities, including Geordie Shore! So I trust her, I’ve had so many bad experiences with aesthetic clinics, you think there good at the time, then realise long term the damage some of them have caused.

Scott – Your into your music, Singing and going to some pride events, Is this something you always enjoyed doing?
Nathan – I’ve always been into singing and acting, singing has always been in the heart of me, I’m not saying I’m a Whitney Houston! But I can sure hit a few high notes haha! I’ve just recorded my first ever cover song it’s on YouTube! I was nervous to record this as I haven’t sang in front of anyone for so many years! I’m in the studio this weekend recording A huge song!
Yes I’ve been booked to perform at this years Stoke-on-Trents Pride! My first public performance! I’m very keen to do more.

Scott – Who is your music idol and why?
Nathan – My music idol is Jess Glynne, I recently went see her on her tour in Manchester, she’s amazing!!!!
But I also love Adele, Sia has so much power in her voice! Incredible. But my all time is Whitney Houston!

Scott –  Has there been any rumors / lies about you, You like to clear up?
Nathan – There’s a lot of rumors I scrounge of my partner. Let me clarify this. I go to work full time, I get up do my emails, then go to work! I provide for myself and earn my OWN money. This has nothing to do with anyone else! And regardless it’s always the jealous, bitter people who comment negative things about you.
Let the haters hate! It’s doesn’t faze me anymore, it’s all comical to me.

Scott –  Where can we be seeing you next?
Nathan – I filmed for Celebrity Botched Up Bodies last month! Which will be airing next month on channel 5! I’m starring in the new series on Lookalikes on Channel 4!  Im filming for new shows and doing lots of appearances over the next few months! I have just signed with a new Management company! LookalikesC4 – My agent James is amazing!

Scott –  Where can you see yourself in 5 years time?

Nathan – I would love to host my own show! I’ve always wanted to go into Big Brother! I feel it’s my turn. I’m ready for it!

I want to do PAs throughout the UK..
Get back into modelling, it’s always been a passion of Myn.

Sam Stanley Interview with Scott McGlynn

Sam Stanley has become the first English rugby union player to come out last year, I caught up with Sam to see how life’s been after coming out, His career and much more…

Scott: How did you get involved in rugby? Was it something you knew you always wanted to do?

Sam: I had an uncle who played for New Zealand. I think all of his brothers, including my dad were going to try and get their kids into rugby in some way. I was 4 when I first got involved and haven’t looked back.

Scott: What advice would give someone that is wanting to get into rugby?

Sam: I’ve had many memories over the years of playing and have met some wonderful people along the way. It is a great way to meet new people and the environment is very friendly. As with most things you’ll never know unless you try but trust me the memories that can be made last a life time, on and off the field.

Scott: What is your strict fitness routine preparing for a game?

Sam: Throughout a match week there’d around 3 training session with possibly two intense session and the other to go through a captains run making sure everyone knows the plan for the opposition being faced. There’s a lot of weights and also recovery sessions so you’re not too tired come game day.

Scott: What is your favourite exercise thing to do? And why?

Sam: My favourite exercise in the gym is bench press as it works a number of muscles and is functional for rugby.

Scott: You come out last year, How was it? What was everyone’s reaction like?

Sam: That’s correct. It’s been amazing for my state of mind and I’ve never been happier since having done so. The reaction from team mates, coaches and the public for that matter has been overwhelmingly supportive. I could never have imagined I’d be able to be myself and play rugby. It’s really is great!!

Scott: Did you find coming out made any change to you career?

Sam: I think it is really too soon to say. I’ve had a few serious injuries in the past that have halted my progression to really push on with my rugby and people know about them no matter how I’m playing. I think for coaches they don’t like to take risks on previously injured player especially with the run I’ve had. Last year wasn’t the best season for me as I just wasn’t being selected to play but I don’t think it has anything to do with me being gay. I hope!

Scott: Being a open gay guy myself, I brought out my first book earlier this year called “OUT” its about my true life story being gay, getting bullied in school and work places growing up. Did you ever experience anything like this?

Sam: Wow, Scott. Congratulations. I really kept myself to myself as a youngster growing up and although I had feelings different to my friends I made sure I put them aside and pretended to be something I’m not. Luckily I guess being a rugby player was seen as a macho thing to do so when you’re young people respect that. I was always nice to people and wouldn’t stand for people bullying others.

Scott: What will be your advice to anyone getting bullied right now?

Sam: Tell someone with authority and please don’t keep anything like that to yourself. There are many people that will help you do something about it so find someone you trust will fight your corner because it should never be tolerated at any age.

Scott: What can we be expecting from you in 2016?

Sam: I can’t believe we are half way through 2016 already. The first half for me wasn’t great and I found myself in a pretty toxic environment, which didn’t help my development as a rugby player at all. I’ll be getting my head down once the season kicks off and trying to work my way back up the ladder. I attended my first London Pride at the weekend and it’s great to attend events like this without having to look over my shoulder anymore. I’ve done a few talks here and there sharing my story to LGBT groups within companies, which has been a great experience. Hopefully in some way I’ve been able to help people.

Christopher Haul Interview With Scott McGlynn

Fellow Welshy Christopher Haul is a worldwide success performing to all audiences. From BoyBands to sole career he talk’s about his idols, experiences and touring.

CbFqbv3W0AAdHuR

Scott: You been in a few boybands, How was that experience?

Chris: So growing up in the 90’s was very inspiring because I was totally obsessed with the sort of bands that were huge at that time.  Backstreet boys, N’Sync, Boy Zone, Spice Girls, O’Town etc etc..  That made me think as a child ‘I want to do that’!  Being part of one was such good fun and it was an experience I will never forget.  Obviously it is so much different and can be a little lonely at times but if I am honest I am having more fun by myself.

Scott: Your a successful solo artist now touring the world, Is there much difference from being in a band and a solo artist?

Chris: Yes absolutely, it can be sooo stressful being in a band because not only did we live together, have days off together, work, travel, gig, record it’s a 24hour thing.  When you are a in a band you are in a committed relationship.  Almost like a marriage, but with that you have to make sure that you are ready to go and your band mates.  If one person is stressed nervous or not focused then it really does have a knock on effect.  Where as being a soloist you only need to worry about what you are doing it is so much easier but harder when it comes to performing as you have to sing each song all the way through.  It’s an eye opener!

Scott: You been travelling a lot recently where’s been the best place you visited any why?

Chris: Ohhh tricky question… More recently, I would say Russia (Moscow) was pretty cool.  Mainly because it was nothing like I expected it to be.  I thought it was going to be dull, scary, an unwelcoming place but all the horror stories you read on the news it was nothing like that. Great architecture, great food, the people were OK and I really enjoyed it.
The other place I loved was Sri Lanka but that is mainly because of the tropical weather, beautiful beaches, food and amazing scenery! I felt the same about Phucket in Thailand similarly.

Scott: Have you got any summer gigs lines up, If so where can we see you?

Chris: Yes, I am performing at a lot of the Pride festivals in the UK my next ones are in particular order are Oxford, London North Wales, Liverpool, Bournemouth and Carlisle.

Christopher Haul Leicester Pride 2015 Photographs

Scott: Who’s been you idol growing up?

Chris: I have always been fascinated by Michael Jackson, I always thought of him as a fictional character because his ability to perform, dance, sing is out of this world.  But I always loved the Spice Girls too.  I actually thought I was one at one point (didn’t we all) haha.

Scott: Can you remember the first single bought?

Chris: I always used to steal my older brother music, so they used to buy it so I didn’t have to.  My older brother Gavin used to buy almost every single on CD or Cassette each week.  I  think his love for music really rubbed off on me.  I think my first single that was bought for me was Whitney Houston ‘I will always love you’.  It’ my favorite song today!

Scott: How did you start off in the music industry?

Chris: I started off by moving to London and auditioning for bands.  I had that dream from a young age.  I had an interesting roller coaster of a ride in the band but I do think I learnt a lot about the industry.

Scott: What’s been your highlight so far?

Chris: My highlight so far has been performing at my own original music to audiences all over the world.  I haven’t released anything yet because I am taking my time but I feel like the best is yet to come!

Scott: If you could choose 3 people to duet with who would they be?

Chris: Bruno Mars, Adele (Imagine), Will-I-Am and I would love to duet with Rihanna that’s 4.

Jerrod Interview with Scott McGlynn

Jerrod a muti talent American artist, Singing, Piano, Drums the lot! The friendliest people i interviewed! We chatting about growing up, music, Orlando!

f1032b24-b30f-4e79-8957-d6356b1f3e56

Scott: When was the moment you thought to yourself music is what i want to

do?

Jerrod: I always loved music. I’ve been playing drums since I was 2 years

old and it was passion of mine. I wanted to be a professional

drummer one day, but when I got older singing seemed a lot more

appealing to other people so I went with that. I was always shy to

sing and play drums but I love making people happy with music and

performing so I started doing covers of songs and put them on a cd

and started giving them to my friends.

Scott: Your talented guy you learnt muti things like drums, guitar, bass guitar and

piano. What do you like playing most and why?

Jerrod: Drums is my favorite out of them all, but I really love the piano as well.

Scott: You done some awesome covers, What your number 1 and why?

Jerrod: Wow…umm my favorite probably would have to be a change is gonna

come by sam cooke. I love sam cooke and was raised on his music so when I did

his cover I thought it would be just another one on youtube but the views spiked

over night and kept growing and that ended up being my most viewed video. My

new favorite would probably be lay me down by sam cooke. I played the piano

and sang it live one day and I loved it.

Scott: You new track “Diamond” is amazing! I loved it hearing it on soundcloud, Tell me about it…

Jerrod: Diamond was a song my manager wrote for me and when I heard it I

immediately fell in love with it. I did it a couple of times and the first few times, my

manager wanted more out of me. I did again late one night and it just clicked. I

love it

Scott: Have you got any plans coming to the UK in 2016?

Jerrod: I’ve always wanted to go, and I couldn’t think of a better way to do it then

to visit and share my gifts and talents with the UK! If they’ll have me of course.

Scott: Shows such as “The Voice” & “The X Factor” creates some great talent, Have

you ever thought about doing any of these shows?

Jerrod: Absolutely. I think about it almost everyday HA I was just talking to one of

my friends the other day and they were telling me I should go and try it. I would

love to work with the amazing artist on the show to grow and collaborate with

them. It would be a great experience

Scott: For your US fans, Will you be performing anywhere this year we can share

with them?

Jerrod: I plan to but I’ll keep that a secret and surprise you guys one day !

Scott: I brought out my first book earlier this year called “OUT” worldwide. Its about

my true life story being gay, getting bullied in school and work places growing up.

Did you ever experience anything like this?

Jerrod: Fortunately I never experienced that life and I always hated to see it. Even

growing up in a christian based school, I still saw some horrible things go on, but

I was the type of person to get along with everyone. I wouldn’t have cliques and

not talk to everyone. I was cool with everyone and hoped they were cool with me.

Scott: All our hearts go out to Orlando worldwide! What’s your thought on this?

Jerrod: Its really a tragedy. I did a song called “Change the World” and it caters to

situations like this. You should take a listen to it and share it because the world

needs a change, and with my music I hope to give life, peace, positvity, with

every lyric I write and sing. I want people to love each other no matter what their

political constituancy is or their race or gender. We are all people and we can all

make that change. Michael Jackson said it best, “if you want to make the world, a

better place, take a look at yourself, and make that change!” and I firmly believe

that.

Scott: It was amazing speaking with you Jerrod, Last thing what is your top 3 items

you can not live without?

Jerrod: Thank you so much for having me! My top 3 things I cant live without first

and foremost is God. He is the one that makes everything possible for me. 2. My

family. I will always need them and will be there to support them and last but not

least my girlfriend. Shes been here for me since we were in the 4 th grade. Most of

the songs I do and write are for her and I want everyone to have someone like

her, so yes she is definitely something AND someone I cant live without.

Helen Lederer interview with Scott McGlynn

Being a fan of Helen’s from the first time I saw her in Ab Fab, I was honored to have a interview with her, She is amazing, talented, funny woman!  I love her!

175808639-df5f02a7-289c-4432-be90-5bfe2f3c1c80_885x560_1433931681720

Scott; We seen you in some amazing projects, Before we get to that, What made you want to become a actress?

Helen; I always seemed to want to devise plays as a child and somehow  ended up being the MC for a circus show. Maybe this was a start to being a stand-up comic. I was also an elf for a Christmas show. I loved being hysterical and comedy performing was a step towards that.

Scott; Most people know you from Ab Fab, How did all that come about your audition process etc?

Helen; Well I was around on the stand up circuit in the 80’s and although Jennifer and dawn were 3 years ahead of me..they knew my work and it sort of stemmed from  there. At first Jennifer liked to have people she knew around her. And then it grew and grew and grew!

Scott; I am very EXCITED for the Ab Fab – Movie! What was it like getting all back together? Did it feel you never left the AF family?

Helen; It was a laugh as ever.. we are older and some of us wiser (not moi) but the affection is still there -very proud to be invited back especially as my role is small but fun.

Scott; Your one of my favourite comedians, Does it just come naturally to you being funny?

Helen; I  have always wanted to laugh…and it has got me into trouble..there’s always one in every class isn’t there.. I was fat and asthmatic  as well which helped..

Scott; I’m into my comedy acting & being funny, If i wanted to join a comedy sketch show / series what would be your tips?

Helen; Be yourself. Authenticity is the best.. although lots of people choose copying and bossy agents to get ahead. Guess which one I favour ?

Scott; You had some amazing feedback from you novel “Losing It” being a author myself to my autobiographical  story “OUT” whats your experience like being a author?

Helen; I LOVE writing..it brings peace when it goes well, and stress when it doesn’t…keep at it write every day and watch out for my next book called  ‘HAVING IT’

Screen-Shot-2015-11-19-at-16-23-22-400x0x0

Scott; You made the word “MId-Lit” for your book, Have you copy right this yet? 🙂

Helen; shit no.. how do I do that. Everyone copies me all the time…I can smell  it..

Scott; How has been your experience on Hollyoaks & Splash (2013) how were they for you?

Helen; Splash has given me a bigger fear of heights than before and hollyoaks was fun fun fun..also I was killed but maybe I can go back as a ghost..it has been known? …

Scott; Being a fellow welshly, Do you still visit your home town? Anything you miss from Wales?

Helen; I was born in llandovery and just did HTLGI festival  in hay on wye which is near I LOVE that  country -warm friendly  and top singing in pubs.

Scott; What’s to come for 2016 / 17 for Helen?

Helen; Abfab movie in June finish  my book ‘having it

– and praying  it will all be OK  and that people will go on amazon and leave a five star review for ‘losing it’ while they wait for ‘Having it :  http://www.amazon.co.uk/Losing-Helen-Lederer/dp/1447267648/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1433441727&sr=8-1&keywords=losing+it

Vangelis Polydorou Interview – Scott McGlynn

BBC The Voice 2016 Vangelis Polydorou amazing talented guy with a powerful voice, I met him in London to talk about Boy George, The Voice, LGBT, Boyfriends and things he can’t live without…

a9c9382c-c471-4e02-9c73-66114a0fa873

Scott – We seen you on The Voice this year, Your blind audition you sang  “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me”, Was it a reason you choose this song? Does it mean anything to you?

Vangelis; I was originally meant to sing Wings by Birdy for my Blind Audition but I didn’t think it was the right song. The team rang me up and agreed and said ‘We don’t get alot of voices like yours on The Voice and we want to create a different arrangement that will help to showcase your unique voice even more’  Do You Really Want To Hurt Me was just an idea at first, it wasent always going to be the song. I got sent a rough demo and worked on the vocals on the weekend and then I came together with the band and told them some of my own ideas for the track. The funny thing was it was so rushed and I didn’t think about it too much but it just worked. I felt like we had made something special and it was the perfect song for me to audition with. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Scott – What made you choose George as your mentor?

Vangelis; I like his honesty. If he doesn’t like something he’s telling you. He keeps you on your toes and although I still find him a little intimidating he has helped me a lot throughout the process. I won’t say he’s like a father figure because he’d hate that! Haha

Scott – Your done some awesome songs on the show, What was your favourite moment and why?

Vangelis; I loved Do you really want to hurt me of course but I also loved Here Comes The Rain Again. I nearly didn’t do it because I was scared of doing something upbeat. It showed a different side to me though and I was really fighting to stay in that week. I was thinking to myself I need to fight for this shit, and I did. Thankfully the public voted me through to the next round. I hated beautiful though. It was a rushed suggestion from one of the team and I didn’t like the arrangement but I did the best I could with what I was given. I did feel like I was being thrown under the bus that week and I knew I would go.

Scott –  Your a LGBT supporter, I brought out my
autobiographical story about being gay and bullied in school & workplaces, how was it for you?

Vangelis; Yes I’m heavily involved in the LGBT scene. I actually sang and closed the LGBT awards which was a great honour. When I was younger I always knew I was different. I was eally shy going to new places incase people would notice that I was different. I did get name called alot but my bullying stories were nothing compared to some people. I was lucky because I went to great schools they didn’t tolerate that. I just think it’s awful what people have to go through.

Scott – If you could say one thing to bullies what would it be?
Vangelis; Get a life and stop trying to ruin other peoples.

Scott – You been doing some gigs around the UK, Where will we be seeing you this summer?

Vangelis; Yes. I’m doing London, Oxford, Warwickshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Leicester Pride. I’m not just doing Pride though, i’ll include a list below.

Scott –  I love your new hair! What was the process like getting to sliver?

Vangelis; I had to get it bleached 3 times on the same day and then come back a few days later to get a permanent colour. I had scabs on my scalp from the bleach and then got bad dandruff. I know this is way too much info but I want to keep it real ha. It got better though, but my scalp felt a bit traumatised. It’s hard to maintain so as the permanent colour started to fade I used a semi permanent silver toner which you have to use weekly to keep it that way and my hair is starting to feel healthier again.

Scott –  Who were your role models growing up?

Vangelis; I loved Celine Dion! I always wanted to sing like her and hold the notes and she was just amazing and still is and Whitney and Mariah. I just loved that big diva sound.

Scott –  Its news going around about the Spice Girls getting back together, Excited?

Vangelis; So excited! I actually met Mel B at the LGBT awards. I had a dress run where I had to sing in front of Mel and Duncan James from Blue. She came up to me and said ‘Hi I’m Mel’ and all I could think is ‘I am talking to a spice girl and going to be singing infront of her’ she was lovely though and they both clapped me afterwards.

Scott –  Is there a guy in your life? OR are you still looking for love?

Vangelis; There is someone in my life. Tony Fran AKA Fantasy. He does Drag and he’s a very arty person. I think he will do big things. Here is a link to a short film he made which I feature in.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haI5cSA54sc

Scott –  Top 3 things you can’t live without?

Vangelis; Cup of tea….Blow Jobs…..Singing
